Shorr Packaging is seeking a highly motivated IT Project Manager to lead and deliver complex, cross-functional technology projects across our national operations. With budgets ranging from $500K to over $1M, this role focuses on delivering impactful business solutions across applications and infrastructure. You'll work closely with both the IT department and key business functions-including Sales, Marketing, Logistics, Operations, Procurement, Customer Service, and Finance.

What You'll Do
  • Lead IT projects (medium to large) from planning through execution-ensuring delivery is on time, on budget, and within scope.
  • Manage multiple projects in parallel, each with varying complexity and business impact.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop business cases, define project goals, success metrics, and resourcing needs.
  • Apply Agile, Kanban, and Waterfall methodologies to organize and execute project work efficiently.
  • Utilize JIRA (or similar) for task tracking, collaboration, and issue resolution.
  • Serve as a key liaison between IT and business teams, ensuring alignment on priorities and expectations.
  • Mentor and coach IT leaders and team members, promoting professional development and Agile best practices.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders at all levels through clear written and verbal updates.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks before they impact delivery.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets, costing, and resources to ensure financial accountability.
  • Support process improvement initiatives, including automation and digital transformation efforts.
  • Navigate complex business environments and build strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead change efforts with confidence-even outside your direct area of technical expertise.

The targeted compensation for this position is between $120 - 145k base plus targeted bonus, depending on skills and experience of the selected candidate.
This position is based in Aurora, IL and has a hybrid work schedule after onboarding.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 7+ years of experience managing IT projects across enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile and Kanban methodologies; experience with Waterfall as needed.
  • Hands-on expertise with JIRA, along with other project management tools.
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and influence team members and project stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills-clear, persuasive, and audience-appropriate.
  • Solid understanding of SDLC, IT infrastructure, and systems integrations.
  • Experience managing project budgets, vendors, and external partners.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and security requirements in IT.
  • Strong conflict resolution, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and prioritize improvements.
  • Resilient in fast-paced, demanding environments, and comfortable driving change.
