Job summary

Data Intelligence LLC seeks an experienced Senior IT Project Lead to plan, execute, and deliver complex IT initiatives for a premier federal law enforcement customer within a SAFe environment. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage scope and timelines, and drive continuous improvement across the project lifecycle.

The role requires Top Secret clearance, strong leadership and communication skills, and proven experience leading Agile software development and enterprise IT projects

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects for a federal client.
  • Define scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics with stakeholders.
  • Facilitate SAFe Agile ceremonies and ART execution.
  • Manage backlogs, epics, features, user stories, tasks, and reporting in Jira.
  • Communicate status, risks, and milestones to leadership and customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, on-scope delivery.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies and process improvements.

Data Intelligence is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Lead to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex IT projects supporting a premier federal law enforcement customer. This role is responsible for defining project scope, managing Agile delivery processes, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives.

The ideal candidate is an experienced Agile project leader with exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position operates within the client's Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment and serves as a key contributor to Agile Release Train (ART) execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects supporting mission-critical initiatives.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success metrics in collaboration with customers and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate SAFe Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
  • Track and manage epics, features, user stories, tasks, defects, and issues using Jira.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks and dependencies, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate project status, milestones, risks, issues, and escalations to executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration across technical teams, business stakeholders, and leadership to ensure successful project execution.
  • Drive Agile process improvements and promote continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the planning, coordination, and tracking of program initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Develop and maintain business processes, workflows, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and project documentation.
  • Create dashboards, reports, executive briefings, and performance metrics to provide visibility into project health and progress.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and present project updates to leadership and customer representatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve project delivery, operational efficiency, and team performance.
  • Perform additional technical and administrative duties as needed to support program objectives.
  • Ensure all activities comply with organizational policies, quality standards, and customer requirements.
  • Operate within the client's Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), adopting SAFe principles, terminology, and Agile Release Train (ART) practices.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Active Top Secret security clearance.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of SAFe Agile methodology in IT project management.
  • Experience leading Agile software development or enterprise IT projects.
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coordinating cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience using Jira to manage project backlogs, user stories, sprint activities, and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience creating executive reports, dashboards, presentations, and briefing materials.
  • Familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • Experience supporting federal law enforcement or other federal government agencies.
  • Experience working within enterprise SAFe Agile environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and customer engagement skills.
  • Experience supporting large-scale IT modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
