Qualifications

  • 5–7+ years of hands-on software development experience building enterprise-grade applications.
  • 2+ years of experience developing and deploying applications on cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Experience working within Agile software development teams.
  • Experience building AI-enabled applications or integrating Generative AI capabilities into enterprise software.
  • Familiarity with API Gateway technologies and service mesh architecture.
  • Experience working in regulated industries (Energy, Utilities, Nuclear, Healthcare, Financial Services).

Position Specific Description

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our Digital & AI engineering team supporting mission-critical applications within the nuclear energy industry. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining modern cloud-native applications while ensuring compliance with U.S. Nuclear Part 810 regulations. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on full-stack developer with strong cloud engineering experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for building scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions.

Due to U.S. Nuclear Part 810 regulations, applicants must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder) and must successfully complete the required Nuclear Part 810 background screening.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Analyzes, designs, develops, tests, debugs, implements, maintains, integrates, customizes and enhances existing or new systems
  • Applies appropriate Agile or development methodologies, system development lifecycles, tools, and technology
  • Automates the handoff of code releases from development to operations (DevOps)
  • Participates in the change management and service ticket management processes, including receiving, resolution monitoring and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Leads projects when needed and builds strong working understanding of the solution being delivered
  • Ensures user satisfaction by providing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and timely resolution of more complex problems
  • Designs, develops and tests experimental application work to test new ideas with bounded cost and time frames

  • Acts as liaison with regulatory agencies, vendors, and contractors on matters relating to computer systems as required
