Job summary

Oregon Department of Transportation in Salem seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead IT projects for the Driver and Motor Vehicles Division. You will define project scope, justify IT initiatives, and guide teams through design, implementation, and optimization of business processes.

As a member of the leadership team, you will develop a division-level project portfolio, oversee standards, and partner with DMV colleagues to build a DMV-wide repository of business functions.

Qualifications

• Portfolio management methodologies and best practices.
• Experience mentoring junior project managers and other project team members.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, especially public speaking and group facilitation.
• Experience with procurement and project oversight framework systems such as Oregon Buys and DAS/EIS Stage Gate.

Responsibilities

• Serve as designated business architect for major IT related projects.
• Assemble teams to support major IT related projects.
• Monitor performance of team members.
• Develop division level project portfolio and review strategic planning goals.
• Guide non-IT business initiatives for DMV units.
