Job summary

V Group Inc. is an IT services company engaged in staffing, project management and software development for state and federal agencies.

The Mississippi MIS project requires onsite contract management, oversight and procurement leadership to ensure timely IT purchases in line with ITS guidelines. The candidate must have 10+ years of experience in state government procurement, business analysis or project management, and expertise in creating solicitations for IT software and services.

Qualifications

• Experience gathering, documenting and communicating business requirements and/or user stories.
• Defining and documenting business requirements, user stories, processes and workflows.
• Experience organizing project teams and work plans for multiple projects.
• Experience as a business analyst and/or project manager.
• Experience working in State Government.
• Experience creating solicitations to acquire IT software and services.

Responsibilities

• Ensure contract management activities for all IT procurement are undertaken timely with internal/external teams.
• Provide oversight and project management.
• Make acquisition of products/services/technical staff in accordance with state laws and ITS procurement guidelines.
• Research, evaluate and acquire products based on need and solution desired.
• Create RFPs by following procurement guidelines for the RFP process.
• Create other solicitations to acquire goods and services.
• Review/score proposals, bids and quotes.
• Analyze information to determine the best products and services for the Agency's needs.
• Partner with ITS to obtain oversight and leadership on various IT projects.
• Communicate with the internal user community and with external vendors.
