Job description

Our client, a leading healthcare organization dedicated to advancing patient care and safety, is looking for a contract Senior IT Project Manager for Capital Improvement Projects. This is a remote role, but candidates must be local to Downey, CA.

This individual contributor will be responsible for executing project plans for capital projects and serving as a liaison for internal customers, third-party vendors, and senior management.

Contract Duration: 24 months

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience working on capital projects involving project lifecycle methodologies
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience managing project budgets

What You Will Be Doing

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Complete work assignments by following procedures and policies, using data and resources, collaborating with others, and adhering to deadlines and expectations. Communicate progress and escalate issues as needed.
  • Manage project performance to ensure on-time, on-budget, within scope, and quality standards, including providing input on costs and budgets.
  • Manage financial aspects of medium-sized projects.
  • Engage in self-development and foster effective relationships through sharing information, listening, and adapting to feedback and change.
  • Manage medium-sized or complex project components.
  • Develop and execute project plans, including scheduling and resource forecasting.
  • Handle project activities related to organizational change management, such as user adoption, implementation, and training plans.
  • Ensure adherence to established processes and policies, including SDLC and domain standards.
  • Assemble and coordinate internal and external resources to match team skills with project demands.
  • Promote project vision and objectives within the team.
  • Monitor project risks and escalate when appropriate, with guidance from senior project managers.
