Job summary

Nintendo Technology Development in Redmond, WA, seeks a Lead Systems Administrator to steer enterprise IT operations, ensuring stability, security, and service quality. You will lead the Systems Administration team, develop standards, and partner with engineering and security to deliver dependable technology services that support business objectives.

The role requires deep technical expertise across Windows, Linux, and macOS, plus automation and vendor management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in systems administration or related field.
• Proven leadership of systems administration teams and delivery accountability.
• Advanced administration of Windows and Linux; macOS in enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking, storage, virtualization, IAM, security, and high availability.
• Proficiency with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Experience with IT security, patching, hardening, incident response and audits.
• Experience managing vendors, service contracts, and budgets or budgets planning.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the IT Operations team, assigning work and guiding priorities.
• Own operational processes, runbooks, and incident response procedures.
• Troubleshoot complex infra issues and provide escalation support.
• Develop automation and tooling to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Oversee project delivery for infra initiatives from planning to rollout.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Security, and vendors to meet requirements.
• Ensure security policies, access controls, and compliance across services.
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours support when required.
