The Position

As a Senior IT Operations Engineer, your mission is to elevate our IT support and system management to world-class standards. You’ll not only solve complex technical issues but also strategize on IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and optimal performance. Your leadership will build upon our foundations, enhancing our SaaS environment and macOS fleet management for our global team, affectionately known as 'Remoters'.

This senior position demands a blend of technical prowess, strategic planning, and team leadership. You’re expected to:

• Lead by example, setting high standards in system administration, particularly for SaaS platforms like Google Workspace, Notion, Slack, and Okta, and in endpoint management for macOS.
• Mentor junior team members, sharing your deep knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
• Drive initiatives that enhance our IT infrastructure, ensuring our solutions are robust, scalable, and secure.
• Act as a key decision-maker in the selection and implementation of IT tools and practices that align with Remote's long-term vision.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a senior IT operations role, with a track record of improving IT infrastructure and end-user support.
• Expert knowledge of macOS environments, SaaS platform administration, and security compliance.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a team through complex projects and challenges.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, capable of strategic thinking and innovation.
• Exceptional communication skills, fluent in English, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Experience in remote work environments is highly valued.

The base salary range for this full-time position is USD 37,450 to USD 84,250. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location, and our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay for the successful candidate in this role is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range may be subject to change.
