Job summary

Bayer in Berkeley is seeking a Sr Eng PCT IT Network to design, secure, and maintain compute platforms, servers, and networks across the production environment. You’ll ensure OT network reliability, perform lifecycle management, and support IT security per the site blueprint.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in IT, Engineering or related field focusing on networks.
• Strong experience maintaining IT systems, including IT security, patching and switch configuration.
• Solid knowledge of TCP/IP and VLANs and hands-on with firewalls and VPNs.
• Project management experience in IT/OT network initiatives.
• Good planning and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work with subordinates, peers, and senior management to build trust.

Responsibilities

• Design secure and highly available compute platforms, servers, and networks.
• Maintain Berkeley OT infrastructure networks and implement global solutions.
• Manage lifecycle of production networks and ensure IT security per IT blueprint.
• Ensure production network remains GxP-qualified and compliant with security standards.
• Collaborate with IT business service partners on firewall rules and access.
• Support IT audits and remediation activities.
