Contract Role for 6 Months to 12 Months!

Role Description

As an IT Network Consultant for the APAC region, you will serve as the primary point of contact for network infrastructure, supporting Level 2 Network Operations and assisting regional stakeholders various projects. Key initiatives include deploying Palo Alto firewalls, refreshing LAN hardware, and setting up new sites.

Responsibilities

• You'll collaborate closely with the Global Network Team, ensuring alignment with the Network Architect and Network Service Manager to maintain design standards and smooth project handovers to operations.
• Your role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing network systems for secure and reliable data communication.
• You'll analyze performance, troubleshoot issues, and deliver strategic solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Documenting network architecture and procedures is also a key part of your responsibilities.

Working Hours

You will primarily work during India daytime hours, but since you'll be involved in projects across the APAC region. (e.g., Mongolia, Indonesia, Australia), occasional flexibility in your schedule will be needed to accommodate time zone differences.

Qualifications

Required:

• Excellent spoken and written English
• Experience in providing 3rd line-level support for Juniper, Cisco and Pallo Alto equipment and services
• Experience working in large global companies
• Experience with ITIL framework.
• Application of structured project implementation methodologies (waterfall and agile)
• Excellent technical skills in most of the following technologies:

Cisco SDWAN (Viptela), Cisco ISE, Palo Alto Strata

• Cloud Manager, Juniper Mist, managing Cisco & Juniper LAN and Wi-Fi

Nice to have:

Experience with implementing Network Access Control (802.1x)

Experience in managing network infrastructure in cloud (Azure, OCI)

Ideal Candidates

• Senior professionals with a minimum of 10 years' experience in managing large-scale network infrastructures.
• Candidates should have hands-on expertise with Palo Alto Firewalls, and managing Cisco and Juniper LAN and Wi-Fi environments.
• Individuals who can lead projects from a technical standpoint, work independently, and take a proactive approach in their daily responsibilities.
