Job description

About The Role

We’re looking for a Senior IT Manager to lead and scale EliseAI’s internal IT function. This role is ideal for someone who has built or significantly grew IT at a high‑growth technology company and is excited to shape the function as the business continues to scale.

About the role: This is a hands‑on leadership role that combines strategic thinking with day‑to‑day execution. You’ll build a high‑performing IT organization that enables the business to move quickly while delivering a reliable, secure, and scalable employee technology experience. You’ll own the IT strategy, roadmap, and day‑to‑day operations, balancing immediate business needs with long‑term investments in automation, infrastructure, and operational excellence. You’ll build the systems, processes, and operational foundation that enable IT to scale, improving employee lifecycle operations, standardizing endpoint management, increasing automation, strengthening operational governance, and delivering a secure, reliable technology experience in close partnership with Security Engineering. You’ll lead and mentor the IT Support team, help define the future structure of the organization, and establish the standards and operating model that allow IT to scale alongside the company. Working closely with People Operations, Workplace Operations, Security Engineering, Finance, and other business leaders, you’ll drive cross‑functional initiatives, improve the employee technology experience, and build scalable solutions that increase efficiency across the organization. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building, developing people and creating the operational foundation that supports the company’s next stage of growth.

Key Responsibilities
Build, Lead & Scale EliseAI’s IT Function
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and execution of EliseAI’s internal IT function, ensuring it scales alongside the business
  • Lead enterprise IT across identity and access operations, endpoint management, networking, SaaS administration, and employee technology
  • Establish scalable processes, standards, operational metrics, and best practices
  • Build, mentor, and grow the IT team
  • Foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and exceptional employee support
Lead IT Operations
  • Own identity and access operations, endpoint management, SaaS administration, networking, office technology, and the employee technology lifecycle
  • Ensure employee onboarding, offboarding, access provisioning, and device lifecycle management are reliable, efficient, secure, and highly automated
  • Own hardware procurement, software licensing, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, lifecycle planning, and the IT budget
  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure, endpoint, and SaaS issues while remaining hands‑on when needed
Drive Automation & Operational Excellence
  • Identify opportunities to automate manual work and improve how IT supports the business through workflows, integrations, AI‑powered solutions, scripting, and internal tooling
  • Build operational playbooks, and self‑service resources that improve consistency and reduce support overhead
  • Define and leverage service delivery, fleet health, and operational metrics to continuously improve reliability, efficiency, and the employee experience
Partner Across the Business
  • Partner closely with People Operations, Workplace Operations, Security Engineering, Compliance, Finance and other teams to deliver scalable technology solutions
  • Lead cross‑functional IT initiatives from planning through implementation and serve as a trusted advisor on employee technology and operational improvements
  • Partner with Security Engineering to implement security requirements across identity, endpoints, SaaS platforms, and employee technology while supporting compliance initiatives, including SOC 2
  • Maintain operational processes, access governance, and documentation that support security, audit, and compliance objectives
  • Ensure office networking, conference room technology, AV systems, and collaboration tools provide a reliable employee experience
  • Operate with a high degree of discretion and confidentiality
Requirements
  • 6–8+ years of experience in IT Operations, Systems Administration, or Internal IT, including experience leading IT teams in a startup or high‑growth technology company
  • Experience building, scaling, or modernizing an internal IT function, balancing strategic leadership with hands‑on execution
  • Proven experience hiring, mentoring, and developing high‑performing IT teams
  • Strong technical depth across the modern IT stack, including Okta (or equivalent SSO/SCIM/MFA), MDM platforms (Mosyle, Jamf, Kandji, Intune), and core business applications (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom)
  • Experience supporting both macOS and Windows environments, with strong expertise in endpoint management, networking, SaaS administration, and identity operations
  • Experience owning employee onboarding, offboarding, identity provisioning, access management, and device lifecycle processes
  • Experience leading cross‑functional IT initiatives, enterprise software implementations, and company‑wide technology rollouts
  • Experience building automations, integrations, or internal tools using scripting, APIs, AI, or workflow automation platforms
  • Experience managing hardware procurement, software licensing, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and IT budgets
  • Strong customer service mindset with a high degree of ownership and comfort serving as the escalation point for critical IT issues
  • Pragmatic, resourceful, and able to build scalable systems without creating unnecessary bureaucracy
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence both technical and non‑technical partners
Benefits
  • Equity in the company

  • Fully paid parental leave
  • Commuter benefits
