Job summary

Block is seeking a Senior Manager, IT Internal Audit to develop and execute our SOX program and to shape how Internal Audit approaches AI. You will own IT audit projects, drive SOX compliance, and lead efforts to create a formal AI audit methodology while engaging with senior stakeholders in Finance and Engineering.

Qualifications

• 8+ years managing and testing SOX controls across cloud, SaaS/PaaS, or on-prem environments, with SOC reports.
• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Advanced understanding of SOX/audit methodologies and risk management in tech/financial services.
• Experience auditing and using LLMs (AI) systems and contributing to an AI audit/governance framework.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive audiences.
• Strong PM, cross-functional collaboration, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Proactive leadership with integrity in a fast-paced risk environment.

Responsibilities

• Own audit projects within Technology Internal Audit, tracking timelines and reporting.
• Serve as SME in SOX technology compliance across systems and units.
• Drive delivery of the internal audit plan with quality standards and KPIs.
• Build relationships with process owners, co-sourcing partners, and external auditors.
• Drive consistency and quality across the SOX program and manage ad-hoc projects.
• Partner to build formal AI audit methodology for auditing AI systems.
• Identify AI-enabled improvements to the audit process while preserving quality.
