Job summary

Border States, an employee-owned electrical distributor, seeks a Senior Manager, IT Infrastructure to lead enterprise infrastructure engineering and services across multiple locations in Fargo, ND, Charlotte, NC, Minneapolis, MN, Denver, CO, or Chicago, IL. You will drive modernization, resilience, and secure delivery aligned to IT strategy and business priorities.

You will manage lifecycle, budgets, and vendor relations, guiding teams toward improvements and reliable service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of IT/infrastructure/operations experience.
• 5+ years leading technical teams or managers.
• Experience managing enterprise infrastructure platforms and vendor relationships.
• Working knowledge of ITSM practices and partnership with IT Operations.

Responsibilities

• Leads managers and teams responsible for infrastructure engineering, network services, cloud platforms, and core infrastructure technologies.
• Provides leadership, coaching, and performance management for managers and staff.
• Oversees architecture, lifecycle, availability, and performance of enterprise infrastructure.
• Ensures reliability, security, and delivery of core infrastructure services.
• Partners with Security, Architecture, and IT Operations on incident response and continuity.
