Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Lafayette, IN seeks a Senior IT Analyst - Technical Infrastructure and Test Cell to design, deploy, and maintain IT infrastructure and test cell solutions.

You will ensure reliability, security, and alignment with enterprise standards across multiple sites. You will lead infrastructure projects, advise on shop floor technology, collaborate with IT leadership, and support security initiatives while expanding Test Cell capabilities for Lafayette Engine Center.

Qualifications

• Project management experience coordinating IT and business stakeholders.
• IT liaison for manufacturing facilities and shop floor technology guidance.
• Experience leading multi-site Test Cell strategy development and execution.
• Forecast demand and develop proposals for IT requests within enterprise processes.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and system issues.

Responsibilities

• Manage small to medium-sized IT projects in partnership with IT teams, business stakeholders, and external service providers.
• Serve as the IT liaison for manufacturing facilities, maintaining engagement with local facility leadership and providing guidance on issue resolution and shop floor technology solutions.
• Evaluate and support integrated testing and acceptance activities for infrastructure components.
• Partner with IT leadership and facility management to support enterprise IT security initiatives and compliance efforts.
• Collaborate with global business partners, internal and external IT service providers, and senior leadership to support multi-site Test Cell strategy development and execution.
• Support new business expansion initiatives across infrastructure, applications, and Test Cell environments for Lafayette Engine Center.
• Maintain a prioritized list of business needs and requirements, develop proposals for new requests, forecast demand, and follow Caterpillar IT demand management and solution request processes when Caterpillar IT is the supplier.
• Lead complex local infrastructure technology components supporting one or more applications, platforms, or systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, network, and system-related issues.
