Job summary

Community Care of North Carolina seeks a Senior IT GRC Advisor to strengthen enterprise IT governance, risk, and compliance. You will lead governance structures, assess controls, and drive remediation across infrastructure, cloud platforms, and vendors.

The role partners with IT, Security, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders to embed risk-management in projects, improve documentation, and ensure regulatory alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, cybersecurity, information systems, accounting, audit, risk management, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years in IT audit, IT risk management, cybersecurity compliance, or GRC leadership.
• Experience planning and leading complex IT audits or risk assessments.
• Experience maturing GRC programs, policies, risk registers, metrics, or issue management.
• Experience assessing third-party and vendor risk with assurance artifacts such as SOC reports, penetration tests, and security certifications.
• Experience conducting cloud risk or compliance assessments in AWS, Azure, or similar environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise IT GRC program, governance structures, risk management, policy oversight, and reporting to leadership.
• Assess control design and operating effectiveness; provide risk-based recommendations to management.
• Plan, lead, and execute IT risk assessments, audits, and advisory engagements across infrastructure, cloud, and security processes.
• Maintain IT risk register and issue management, track remediation, and report trends to leadership.
• Develop GRC metrics, dashboards, KPIs, and KRIs for visibility into control effectiveness and audit readiness.
