Job summary

WGU is seeking a Senior IT Fraud Analyst to protect students, systems, and the university from evolving fraud risks. You’ll apply fraud expertise, investigations, and security analytics to build detections and risk scoring within a mature program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of Fraud and Information Security experience.
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, GIAC, ISACA, CCSP, CFE, CFCS, etc.) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex fraud and security investigations using multiple signals and data sources.
• Develop fraud detection and prevention strategies across the organization.
• Build and tune detections, alerts, and related content.
• Identify risks, root causes, and opportunities for preventative improvements.
• Stand up and mature fraud intelligence, risk scoring, and supporting tech capabilities.
• Collaborate with teams to share signals and gain alignment on prevention initiatives.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to others in fraud investigations.
