Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Sr. IT Engineer MDM to manage our enterprise device fleet across Apple, Windows, and Android. You will own day-to-day operations and the strategic roadmap for our mobile device management stack, ensuring devices are provisioned, secured, and maintained at scale.

This role involves leading enrollment workflows end-to-end, troubleshooting edge cases, and collaborating with ITIL processes, vendors, and internal customers in a large healthcare technology environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
  • 8 years of technical engineering experience.
  • Hands-on administration experience with Jamf Pro, Workspace ONE UEM, and Intune.

Responsibilities

  • 40% - Operations: manage internal customers and vendors, align with ITIL processes.
  • 20% - Technology Strategy: develop roadmaps, standards, and implementations.
  • 10% - Research and Analysis: plan and coordinate initiatives including TCO and efficiency.
  • 25% - Supplier Management: oversee vendors, dashboards, and status reporting.
  • 5% - Financial Management: budget planning and control for areas.

Job Description Summary:

Sr. IT Engineer MDM will work to manage and evolve our enterprise device fleet across Apple, Windows, and Android platforms. You'll own the day-to-day operations and strategic roadmap for our mobile device management stack, ensuring devices are provisioned, secured, and maintained at scale. This role is a strong fit for someone who's comfortable owning enrollment workflows end-to-end and troubleshooting the inevitable edge cases that come with a large, diverse device fleet.

Responsibilities And Duties:
  • 40% - Operations Works with internal customers and 3rd party vendors to communicate, coordinate, manage expectations, approve, and assist with operational processes such as crisis management, support escalation, change management, release management, capacity management, and other ITIL processes
  • 20% - Technology Strategy Assists and sometimes leads the development of technology strategy and roadmap within a given area of specialty including design, documentation, communication, and implementation of new or existing standards for infrastructure technologies while remaining current on industry trends
  • 10% - Research and Analysis Analyzes, plans, justifies, schedules, and coordinates the implementation and maintenance of the specialty area's administrative, operational, and financial initiatives including TCO, optimization, and efficiency
  • 25% - Supplier Management Works with suppliers and, when needed, vendors to produce outcomes consistent with organizational strategy. Overseas reporting metrics, dashboards, and status reporting to meet expectations for quality and performance for discretionary, support and maintenance work.
  • 5% - Financial Management - Plans, monitors and controls operating and capital budget for assigned areas of responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Degree; Field of Study: Business Administration, Computer/Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Related Field
  • Years of Experience: 8 years technical engineering experience
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE
  • Hands-on administration experience with Jamf Pro for Apple device management
  • Hands-on administration experience with Workspace ONE UEM (Omnissa)
  • Hands-on administration experience with Microsoft Intune for Windows/cross-platform management
  • Strong understanding of Apple Business Manager and ADE/DEP enrollment workflows
  • Experience with device compliance policies, configuration profiles, and app deployment across platforms
  • Familiarity with enterprise mobility concepts: supervised mode, zero-touch provisioning, conditional access
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across networking, device OS, and MDM policy conflicts
  • Clear written communication for documentation and cross-team collaboration
