Key responsibilities include platform engineering, lifecycle management, capacity planning, monitoring, system resilience, standards development, technical analysis, and strategic planning.The Senior IT Engineer will work closely with operational support teams to provide technical direction, oversight, and escalation support for daily activities as needed.Preferred experience includes Dell PowerScale, Dell PowerStore, Cohesity, Pure Storage, Cisco MDS SAN, and hybrid cloud infrastructure.The ideal candidate will bring strong technical engineering expertise, infrastructure design experience, collaboration skills, and a proven ability to support enterprise-scale infrastructure environments within a highly matrixed organization.Responsibilities And Duties:40% - OperationsWorks with internal customers and 3rd party vendors to communicate, coordinate, manage expectations, approve, and assist with operational processes such as crisis management, support escalation, change management, release management, capacity management, and other ITIL processes20% - Technology StrategyAssists and sometimes leads the development of technology strategy and roadmap within a given area of specialty including design, documentation, communication, and implementation of new or existing standards for infrastructure technologies while remaining current on industry trends10% - Research and AnalysisAnalyzes, plans, justifies, schedules, and coordinates the implementation and maintenance of the specialty area’s administrative, operational, and financial initiatives including TCO, optimization, and efficiency25% - Supplier ManagementWorks with suppliers and, when needed, vendors to produce outcomes consistent with organizational strategy.
