Senior IT Endpoint Analyst

As a Senior IT Endpoint Analyst, you will lead the implementation, support, and continual improvement of the organization’s endpoint infrastructure, including desktops, laptops, mobile devices and peripheral equipment. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality endpoint solutions—ensuring security, performance, and user satisfaction. This role serves as a bridge between technical teams and end users, with a focus on lifecycle planning, issue resolution, capacity management, and consultation. You will also serve as a mentor to team members and lead initiatives in collaboration with the Endpoint Engineering team to drive standardization and innovation.

What you’ll do
  • Endpoint Strategy & Delivery: Translate business needs into technical requirements for endpoint engineering projects, cost‑saving initiatives, and system enhancements, ensuring alignment with enterprise objectives.
  • Deployment & Implementation: Lead or participate in testing, deployment, and implementation of new endpoint solutions, ensuring minimal business disruption and adherence to IT standards.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend innovative uses of existing endpoint and productivity technologies to automate processes, reduce manual effort, and maximize ROI.
  • Asset Lifecycle Management: Manage the lifecycle of endpoint hardware and software, including deployment, configuration, and maintenance of desktops, laptops, mobile devices and accessories, while ensuring all asset additions, updates, and retirements are accurately tracked in the CMDB to support lifecycle visibility and compliance.
  • Collaboration & Support: Collaborate with Architecture, Infrastructure, Applications and Security teams to prepare associates for new technology deployments and ensure consistent compliance with security protocols.
  • Escalation & Troubleshooting: Serve as a point of escalation for complex endpoint issues from the Service Desk; perform root‑cause analysis and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Training & Field Support: Provide on‑site or virtual assistance with deployments, troubleshooting, and associate training; ensure adoption of endpoint solutions across locations.
  • Standardization & Automation: Simplify, standardize, and automate endpoint management processes to improve efficiency and scalability across the enterprise.
  • Technology Awareness: Stay current on endpoint technology trends, tools, and methodologies to anticipate business needs and recommend emerging solutions.
  • Governance & Compliance: Abide by all company policies, safety regulations, and procedures while supporting Smithfield’s programs, goals, and initiatives.
What we’re seeking
  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four‑year college or university and 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

  • Software & Tools Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Adobe, Java and system administration tools.
  • Endpoint & System Proficiency: Experience with endpoint technologies, security updates, driver configurations and system patching on PCs.
  • Remote Support Experience: Hands‑on use of remote administration and screen sharing solutions for troubleshooting and user support.
  • System & Security Knowledge: Strong understanding of Windows security updates, driver and system patching, and PC hardware/software configuration and troubleshooting to ensure performance, reliability and compliance.
  • Analytical & Problem‑Solving Skills: Self‑directed critical thinker with strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Process Improvement & Automation: Passionate about automation and continuous improvement, demonstrating initiative to streamline endpoint operations and enhance efficiency across systems and processes.
  • Collaboration & Professionalism: Works harmoniously with peers and cross‑functional teams, displaying integrity, accountability and high ethical standards while contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Communication & Leadership: Effectively communicates technical concepts verbally and in writing to diverse audiences; drives execution with professionalism, reliability and minimal supervision.
