Job description

Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior IT & Data Manager, Transplant.

This position requires a technologically proficient individual experienced in clinical data design, capture, management, querying, and reporting, as well as hardware updates and maintenance. The principal function of this position is to organize, maintain, and manage the integrity of all information systems, including systems administration.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise database analysts, including assigning work, performance reviews, and all other human resource issues.
  2. Participate and support data requests for the Transplant Division Quality Improvement Program. Lead teams and projects toward Divisional Quality Improvement goals.
  3. Prepare budget proposals, presentations, and manage IT projects. Research current IT costs and advise on cost-effective options. Place computer orders via PeopleSoft.
  4. Maintain and upgrade hardware and software, communicating effectively with VELOS and EPIC support teams.
  5. Prepare reports for third-party payors, regulatory agencies, and clinical staff, ensuring timely and accurate data organization.
  6. Manage and coordinate UNOS data, site administration, SRTR reporting, ESRD data submissions, and local databases.
  7. Coordinate IT services, monitor servers and desktops, and ensure system functionality. Proactively address potential issues.
  8. Ensure UNOS site security compliance, including account updates, staff training, and audits.
  9. Collaborate with regulatory teams for audits and ensure readiness for inspections.
