Onyx Point, Inc. in Hanover, MD seeks an Information Technology Senior Consultant to provide Tier 1 and 2 support, manage Linux systems, patch security findings, and configure server hardware. The role requires TS/SCI with full scope polygraph clearance and U.S. citizenship.

You'll work with VMware vSphere/VCF, perform TLS certificate renewals, use Ansible for automation, update SOPs in Confluence, and help design mission architecture. Compensation varies by location and expertise.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with fifteen (15) years of relevant experience or bachelor’s degree with twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
• High school diploma with twenty (20) years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution of problems.
• Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring & problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices, etc.
• Configure and manage Linux, and possibly Windows operating systems, installs/loads OS software and patches to maintain security compliance.
• Support the design of systems, mission architecture, and associated hardware.
• Patching and updating Linux distributions regarding security findings.
• Adding / Removing users and setting permissions to meet certain user privileges.
• Working with STIGs and fixing/updating vulnerabilities with STE/STN findings.
• Renew Linux server certificates and applying updates to TLS security versions.
• Working with automation software such as ANSIBLE to streamline updates and patching.
• Updating documentation such as SOPs with problems and solutions for the team’s knowledge base on Confluence.
