Job summary

POET is seeking an IT Business Analyst II to act as the primary IT contact across POET companies and drive information management initiatives. This on-site role is located in Sioux Falls, SD, and involves evaluating business and IT processes, gathering requirements, preparing ROI, and supporting applications post-implementation.

You will lead small to medium projects, document needs, and collaborate across teams to deliver effective solutions while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Technology, or Science.
• Minimum of 3 years of progressive analysis/systems experience in mid to large scale computing environment.
• Experience with Great Plains Dynamics, payroll and financial processing is a plus.
• Understanding of relational database concepts and experience with SQL queries.
• Working knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies and Windows operating systems.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn new programs.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, test and document processes and systems for the enhancement, development and maintenance of business and systems operations.
• Identify the sources of requirements and understand stakeholder roles.
• Prepare business ROI and manage projects to meet the stated ROI.
• Assist in supporting of applications after implementation by providing daily support, training, designing reports and other support tasks.
• Help to define acceptance criteria for completion of the solution.
• Organize and lead small groups to resolve current systems conversion business problems.
• Work with business customers to understand requirements and develop specifications for projects.
• Create basic to moderately complex test plans using templates and guidelines.
