Job summary

Physicians Mutual is seeking an IT Auditor or Senior IT Auditor to join its Internal Audit team in Omaha, NE. You will evaluate technology risks and controls across systems and operations, delivering independent insights that strengthen the control environment.

Senior level responsibilities include leading enterprise technology risk assessments, audit analytics and automation initiatives, and participating in technology projects across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related field required.
• Experience in IT audit, IT risk, cybersecurity or related areas (2–5 years for IT Auditor; 5+ years for Senior IT Auditor).
• Knowledge of IT controls, risk assessment methodologies and cybersecurity principles.
• Familiarity with NIST/COBIT/ISO 27001 or CIS Controls.
• Professional certifications like CISA, CISSP, CIA or CPA are preferred for IT Auditor and required for Senior IT Auditor.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform risk-based IT audits from risk assessment to reporting.
• Evaluate IT general controls, cybersecurity and application controls.
• Assess cloud environments and third-party technology risk.
• Use data analytics to identify trends and weaknesses.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to management.
• Lead enterprise technology risk assessments and audit analytics at senior level.
