Job summary

Maine Office of the State Auditor is seeking a Senior Auditor – Information Systems to lead IT audit projects that support the state’s financial reporting and federal compliance efforts. You will conduct independent audits of information technology controls across multiple platforms and collaborate with senior leaders to ensure accurate findings and timely remediation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and/or MIS or equivalent experience.
• Experience auditing IT systems and compliance with GAO/AICPA/NIST standards is preferred.
• Ability to communicate complex findings clearly.
• Ability to supervise staff auditors.
• Ability to interpret laws and regulations for IT audits.
• Experience with data extraction and analytics in audits.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and perform audits of IT controls across systems.
• Supervise staff auditors and review their work.
