Job summary

The Charles Schwab Corporation is seeking a Senior IT Auditor to join the BDAM Application Controls team. You will perform technology-focused internal audits, assess risks, and collaborate with external co-sourcing providers to strengthen governance and controls across critical financial services processes.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to IIA standards while supporting ongoing training and development within a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of information technology audit experience; financial services or Big 4 experience is a plus.
• Experience performing internal audits within complex operational and regulatory environments.
• Knowledge of control theory and professional auditing practices.
• Ability to work in project teams and collaborate with external co-sourcing providers and internal lines of business.
• Certifications such as CPA, CIA, or CISA are preferred; other relevant certifications considered.

Responsibilities

• Participate in planning and execution of technology-focused internal audit assignments.
• Ensure work adheres to IIA standards and IAD policies; manage meetings, prioritization, testing, and work papers.
• Identify audit observations and prepare debriefings with partners and leadership.
• Assist with risk assessments and document risk ratings and meetings with partners.
• Provide coaching, onboarding support, and ongoing guidance to audit team members.
