Job summary

Mercer County Technical School District seeks a Manager of Technology to lead district-wide technology operations in Trenton, NJ. The role requires a 12-month, full-time commitment with strong MIS background and hands-on experience in system upgrades, security, and vendor management.

Responsibilities include overseeing procedures, supervising technical staff, ensuring data security, and maintaining documentation. Requires U.S. citizenship or legal residency and background check.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, or a related field required (or equivalent work-related experience).
• At least seven (7) years of increasingly responsible management information systems experience, including developing procedures and applications, overseeing major system upgrades and software implementations, performing systems analysis, and supervising operations and technical personnel.
• Knowledge of Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN), server virtualization, cloud computing, operating systems, database management systems, and hardware/software applications.
• Working knowledge of electronic access control platforms, IP-based paging/intercom systems, and enterprise Identity and Access Management (IAM/SSO) protocols.
• Familiar with disaster recovery, cyber incident response planning, and information security best practices.
• Knowledge of Systems 3000 and purchase orders.
• Highly organized and possesses the ability to analyze complex procedures/data and develop clear, logical conclusions and solutions.
• Demonstrate high-level support for a variety of programs and services, including handling confidential and sensitive information and providing in-depth responses and/or research to respond to inquiries.
• Effective verbal, written communication, and positive interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to keep accurate records, work independently and display outstanding organizational skills.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
