Job summary

Solano County seeks an Information Technology Analyst IV - Senior Network Engineer to lead and support county-wide IT systems. The role requires advanced technical skills and potential team leadership across software, network, security, and database domains.

Responsibilities include directing system design, installations, security planning, backups, and vendor coordination; providing expert guidance to users and staff, and ensuring reliable, secure, and scalable county information systems.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to an Associate’s degree, preferably in information technology.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position.
• Five (5) years of experience performing software development or infrastructure management.
• Licensing/certification requirements may apply as noted by the employer.
• Experience leading projects or small teams is expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and/or participates in the selection, development, installation, and modification of software systems for county services.
• Oversees, coordinates, and analyzes information input, workflows, and outputs for new systems.
• Installs and administers database and file management software; customizes vendor databases.
• Maintains operating systems and data communications software; designs backup and recovery procedures.
• Trains users and provides guidance to staff on applications and procedures.
