Job summary

The City of Ontario Information Technology Agency is seeking a Principal IT Analyst to lead and coordinate teams responsible for the city’s enterprise information systems, security, and technology infrastructure. You will oversee complex projects, analyze systems, and drive improvements across departments.

The role requires a five-year background in enterprise IT, with at least two years in a project lead or supervisory capacity, and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience supporting enterprise information systems, including two years of project lead or supervisory level experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Information Security or related field; additional related experience may substitute for education.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs staff, including selection, assignments, performance evaluations, development, disciplinary action, and complaint resolution.
• Provides direction to teams developing, implementing, and maintaining highly complex systems.
• Leads projects and coordinates work plans; monitors workflow and evaluates methods and procedures.
• Analyzes existing systems and recommends improvements based on business requirements.
• Evaluates and recommends consulting services for project areas and monitors their work.
