Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer to safeguard networks and data at the highest standards in Washington, DC. The role emphasizes IA, RMF processes, and cross-team collaboration to maintain ATO on program systems.

Responsibilities include designing security architectures, conducting vulnerability assessments, and delivering technical briefs. On-site work with TS/SCI-CI poly clearance is required, along with related certifications and experience.

Qualifications

• Experience loading artifacts such as STIG checklists and ACAS scans.
• Experience implementing STIG checklists and addressing scan findings.
• Experience supporting security assessment events and replying to questions from IPT/ISSMs/SCA.
• Experience collaborating with leads, sysadmins, DBAs, developers, and testers to ensure ATO.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements IA/security systems for networks and enclaves with varied data protection requirements.
• Analyzes architecture and system functionality across multiple technologies.
• Develops and evaluates attack scenarios and mitigations.
• Prepares technical reports and briefings for stakeholders.
• Applies Risk Management Framework across program systems/networks.
• Performs security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and propose mitigations.
• Verifies system security requirements and designs.
• Supports building security architectures and trusted external relationships.
• Ensures systems achieve and maintain ATO through collaboration with teams.
• Loads STIG checklists and ACAS scans, and mitigates findings.
• Assists with security events and responses from PAT, ISSMs, and SCA.
