Job summary

Draper in Cambridge, MA is seeking an Information System Security Officer 2 (ISSO) to support the continuous monitoring and accreditation of multiple classified information systems under the direction of the ISSM. The role blends technical and general cybersecurity duties, including physical security, incident handling, and security training.

You will update SSPs, coordinate changes with ISSM/AO/DAO, participate in ConMon activities, and mentor ISSO1.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required in IT or related field.
3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
IAM I/IAT II certification or higher.
Experience auditing systems using native languages (PS/BASH) and basic scripts.
Experience working with ISSMs to create and manage POA&Ms.

Responsibilities

Assist the ISSM in duties and assume ISSM responsibilities in the absence.
Ensure systems are operated, maintained, and disposed of per security policies.
Attend required security training and ensure users have proper clearances.
Conduct periodic reviews for compliance with the security authorization package.
Coordinate changes to hardware/software/firmware with the ISSM/AO/DAO prior to changes.
Monitor system changes that might affect authorization and notify accordingly.
Maintain current security documentation and support Audits/ConMon and incident response.
Manage configuration baselines of hardware and software.
