Job summary

UltraViolet Cyber is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to lead cybersecurity and compliance across IT and classified networks. The role drives RMF processes, system authorizations (ATO), vulnerability assessments, and continuous monitoring to ensure secure, compliant operations.

The candidate must hold US citizenship, an active Secret DoD clearance, and 15+ years in information security with RMF/FISMA/NIST experience.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship is required.
• Active Secret DoD clearance is required.
• 15+ years in information security/IA.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS or related cyber field (or 6 years exp equivalency).
• RMF, FISMA, and NIST knowledge.
• CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+ certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, review and maintenance of SSPs and authorization packages (System Authorization).
• Oversee security audits, scanning operations (ACAS, Nessus), and POA&M remediation (Risk & Vulnerability Management).
• Implement security telemetry, manage patch statuses, monitor system activities (Continuous Monitoring).
• Ensure systems comply with federal/DoD/NIST frameworks (Compliance & Governance).
• Coordinate incident response, assess security impacts of changes, enforce access controls (Incident Response & Configuration).
• Provide strategic risk and compliance guidance to ISSMs and mentor staff (Leadership & Advising).
