Job summary

TechSur Solutions, based in the DC metropolitan area, seeks an Information Security Officer to support DOL OCIO/ETA SWARAS security compliance, authorization, and continuous monitoring. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure RMF and NIST controls are implemented and documented.

The role focuses on vulnerability management, POA&M remediation, and security release gates within a FISMA Moderate ecosystem. A background in federal security programs and DOL experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of federal cybersecurity, ISSO, RMF, ATO, or security compliance experience.
• Hands-on experience with FISMA Moderate, NIST 800-53, RMF, POA&M management, vulnerability management, security documentation, and ATO support.
• Experience coordinating remediation across application, database, infrastructure, and DevSecOps teams.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain DOL Public Trust suitability.
• Prior DOL OCIO, ETA, CSAM, ATO, or federal civilian ISSO experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead SWARAS FISMA Moderate compliance support, including NIST 800-53 controls and alignment.
• Maintain CSAM artifacts, system security documentation, risk registers, POA&M, and audit responses.
• Coordinate remediation with DevSecOps, DBA, and system owner stakeholders.
• Track POA&M milestones and evidence packages within government timelines.
• Support secure SDLC controls, code review evidence, and third-party tracking.
• Handle incident response requirements and rapid escalation for PII incidents.
• Support CPIC reporting, portfolio data calls, and governance reviews.
