Job summary

Vosper Thornycroft Group (via Byte Systems, VTG) seeks an Information Systems Security Officer to support the assessment and authorization process for information systems and help strengthen the security posture of critical environments.

You will collaborate with developers and engineers to secure a hybrid-cloud environment, identify risks and vulnerabilities, and implement controls across perimeter, OS hardening, and monitoring using tools like Splunk, Nessus, and Jira.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum ten years of cybersecurity experience or equivalent.
• Experience shepherding IT projects through the authorization lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Support assessment and authorization (A&A) processes for information systems.
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to create a secure hybrid-cloud environment.
• Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and monitor security posture across systems.
• Implement and document defense-in-depth controls and evidence.
