Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking an Information System Security Officer in Norfolk, VA, to ensure security compliance and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO). The role collaborates with application leads, system administrators, developers, and testers to implement RMF, conduct testing, and monitor systems, updating SSPs, SCTMs, STPs, and POAMs in Xacta.

The candidate will load STIG checklists and ACAS scans, assist with mitigations, and support security assessment events by responding to questions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher required in CS/SE or a related field.
• 9+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree; more may substitute for degree.
• Experience developing, implementing, and enforcing security policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Ensure systems are security compliant and maintain ATO.
• Follow RMF for full/partial tests and continuous monitoring.
• Update SSPs, SCTMs, STPs, and POAMs in Xacta.
• Load STIG checklists and ACAS scans; mitigate findings.
• Assist ST&E by answering questions from ISSMs and SCAs.
• Advise on security controls and risk mitigation.
