Job summary

Leidos is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer to support customer operations onsite in Linthicum, Maryland. The role involves validating system security requirements, designing security systems, and mitigating security risks. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience or equivalent qualifications, along with a CASP+ or CISSP certification.

This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as an ISSE or Network Engineer.
• CASP+ or CISSP certification required.
• Strong writing and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Validate and verify system security requirements.
• Design and integrate IA and security systems.
• Support security architecture development.
• Assess and mitigate security threats throughout the program life cycle.

Skills

ISSE or Network Engineering experience (7+ years)

CASP+ OR CISSP certification

Strong writing skills

Confidence presenting to senior DoD officials

Working knowledge of network components

Experience with security weaknesses analysis

Knowledge of NIST SP 800 Series

Network protocol knowledge

Hands-on security implementation

Ability to work independently

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
