Job summary

Fairygodboss is looking for a Senior Information Security Systems Engineer (ISSE) based in Linthicum, Maryland. In this role, you will provide Security Engineering Support for critical systems related to Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3). You will conduct risk assessments, engage stakeholders, and implement innovative security solutions.

Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 20 years of experience. A TS/SCI clearance is required. This position offers an opportunity to play a central role in safeguarding vital communications systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 20 years of experience as an Information Systems Security Engineer.
• CISSP - ISSEP certification required.
• Experience with security monitoring and incident response capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and provide mitigation recommendations.
• Support design and implementation of cybersecurity capabilities.
• Engage stakeholders to ensure security objectives are defined.

Skills

Strong writing skills

Confidence in presenting to senior officials

Expertise in Risk Management Framework (RMF)

Knowledge of NIST Special Publications

Experience with cybersecurity risk assessments

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
