Job summary

KBR Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) in the National Security Solutions team is the information security professional responsible for safeguarding sensitive information across the system lifecycle. The role emphasizes researching, testing, training, and implementing security programs.

Located on-site in Lorton, VA, the ISSE works with System Engineering teams to ensure cyber resiliency and compliance, with 0-20% travel and standard working hours.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering, CS, cybersecurity, networking, or programming.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with DoD SAP access.
• Counterintelligence polygraph required.
• 7+ years of technical cybersecurity/IT/systems engineering.
• Experience with SAPs (Special Access Programs).
• Strong analytical skills to quantify risk and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Work with System Engineering teams to incorporate cyber resiliency objectives into SDLC.
• Develop and maintain documentation and diagrams for security tools and cloud operations.
• Perform requirements analysis, design, and integration for complex software applications.
• Participate in change management and assess security impact of changes.
• Write implementation and design documents describing security features.
• Create and maintain information system security documentation and SOPs.
• Monitor system, procedures, and documentation to ensure compliance with authorization package.
