Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking an Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support US Army modernization efforts, embedding security-by-design across secure hybrid cloud/on-prem architectures.

The role partners with APMs, PdMs, and engineers to maintain a robust security posture, performing vulnerability assessments, DoD RMF activities, and automation within DevSecOps pipelines. Active DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
• 5 years of hands-on engineering experience in cybersecurity or secure systems design.
• DoD 8140/8570 IASAE Level II certification (CASP+, CISSP, or CSSLP).

Responsibilities

• Partner with APMs, PdMs, lead systems engineers, and cybersecurity personnel to execute the program’s cybersecurity strategy.
• Provide proactive technical consultation to evaluate proposed designs, architectures, and software configurations early in the lifecycle to minimize security risk.
• Develop, review, and maintain core program cybersecurity documentation such as the PPP, CSS, SSP, and architecture diagrams.
• Contribute to secure, resilient architectures across hybrid cloud (IL5/IL6), virtualized, and tactical edge environments.
• Promote secure software engineering practices and automation within CI/CD pipelines; support Windows/Linux hardening.
• Coordinate with engineering and contractor teams to address vulnerabilities and manage residual risk.
