Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Lead Software Safety Architect in the United States to translate Safety Goals, FSCs, and TSRs into robust software architectures across AUTOSAR Classic/Adaptive, Linux, QNX, and mixed-criticality platforms. You will drive safety work with System Engineering, Platform Architects, BSW teams, and developers.

The role requires 10+ years in embedded software and ISO 26262 expertise, with leadership in safety analyses and FMEDA contributions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
Minimum 10 years in embedded software design/development with at least 5 years in software architecture and functional safety.
Expert knowledge of ISO 26262 required.

Responsibilities

Define and maintain software safety architectures compliant with ISO 26262.
Translate Safety Goals, FSC, TSC and TSRs into software requirements and architecture decisions.
Allocate safety requirements across application software, middleware, OS, communication stack, and hardware-dependent software.
Define Safety Mechanisms: watchdog, monitoring, program flow, timing, E2E, memory, inter-core protection, communication monitoring, redundancy, diagnostics, safe state transitions, degraded mode, fault containment, and FFIs.
Perform and support: FMEDA, Failure Propagation Analysis, Dependent Failure Analysis, Safety Mechanism Analysis.
