OSU-Stillwater is seeking a Senior Irrigation Technician to support irrigation installation, maintenance, and repairs across campus grounds. You will work with Landscape Services and Shops, perform preventive tasks and adhere to dig permit guidelines.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, operating trenchers, and standing standby for emergencies; a valid driver's license is required, and safety training is supported by OSU benefits.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED required; multiple irrigation experience levels apply (I: 2+ yrs; II: 5+ yrs; Senior: 15+ yrs).
  • Must have valid driver’s license to operate OSU vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Support irrigation installation, maintenance, and repairs.
  • Submit one-call dig permits and adhere to dig permit guidelines.
  • Conduct irrigation utility locates and document results.
  • Operate irrigation equipment (trencher, pumps, etc.) and perform winterization.
  • Attend irrigation team and Landscape Services meetings and support other units as needed.
  • Maintain equipment, materials and tools and ensure safety compliance.
  • Assist with safety training and contingency standby for emergencies.
