Job summary

Quadtec Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with deep IPv6 expertise to lead IPv6 assessment, design, and testing across the corporate network.

You will drive dual-stack implementations, multicast routing, and Cisco-based design efforts to ensure a secure transition to next-generation IP networking. The role requires hands-on experience with IPv6 addressing and migration strategies, and a strong background in OSPFv2/v3 and BGP for IPv6.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive network engineering experience in enterprise or service provider environments.
• Hands-on IPv6 addressing, routing, and migration strategies.
• Experience with IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack networks.
• Cisco routing and switching platforms; CCNP or higher certification preferred.
• Proficiency in routing protocols OSPFv2/v3 and BGP with IPv6.
• Ability to produce design documents, test plans, and assessment reports.
• Familiarity with security policies in dual-stack networks (ACLs).
• Understanding of federal or regulatory IPv6 mandates (OMB M-21-07).

Responsibilities

• Assess existing network for IPv6 readiness across routers, switches, firewalls, and hosts.
• Develop a prioritized IPv6 integration roadmap from IPv4 gaps.
• Audit hardware/software compatibility for IPv6, including IOS/IOS-XE.
• Document current topology and present findings to stakeholders.
• Architect IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack solutions with forward compatibility.
• Design scalable IPv6 addressing plans and multicast routing.
• Create HLD/LLD with topology diagrams and routing policies.
• Collaborate with security, systems, and apps teams for IPv6 compatibility.
• Develop and execute IPv6 test plans (dual-stack, tunneling, NAT64/DNS64).
• Perform PoC testing before production deployment.
• Validate multicast functionality and QoS in IPv6 contexts.
• Troubleshoot dual-stack issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Develop migration procedures with change management and rollback.
• Serve as SME for IPv6 and multicast; mentor junior engineers.
• Participate in CAB reviews and advise on network changes.
