Job summary

Archer, an aerospace company in San Jose, is seeking a hands-on Senior Integration Architect to design and build modern integration solutions across enterprise systems. The role blends architecture, standards, and hands-on iPaaS work, with emphasis on API vs events vs file-based approaches and data flow design for high-quality data delivery to analytics systems.

The ideal candidate has deep experience with REST/SOAP, EDI, and enterprise systems integration, and can produce architecture diagrams

Qualifications

• 10-12+ years in integration engineering, architecture, or iPaaS development.
• Hands-on with Workato or equivalent iPaaS (Boomi, Mulesoft, etc.).
• Deep understanding of REST, SOAP, event-driven, EDI, and file-based methods.
• Experience integrating SAP, Workday or similar ERP/cloud apps with SaaS.
• Ability to create architecture diagrams, decision frameworks, and data mappings.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise integration patterns and decision frameworks (API, EDI, event-driven, file/SFTP).
• Architect end-to-end integrations across ERP (SAP S/4), SaaS, data platforms, and MES.
• Establish standards for API contracts, event schemas, cataloging, error handling, observability, and security.
• Develop reusable integration components and enforce best practices across teams.
• Build, test, and deploy integrations using Workato or similar iPaaS; create connectors and accelerators.
• Design data flow and payload structures; ensure clean, high-quality data to consuming systems.
• Collaborate with product and application teams to translate business processes into robust flows.
• Ensure security, monitoring, and operational excellence in integrations.
