Job summary

Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch LLP seeks a Senior Intellectual Property Assistant to join our IP team in California offices. The role is hybrid with in-office work three days per week.

You will support U.S. patent prosecution, prepare and file applications and related documents, and coordinate with foreign associates on international filings. The position carries a 1,300-hour annual billable requirement and strong teamwork with attorneys and clients.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of U.S. IP prosecution experience.
• Two+ years of administrative or legal support experience preferred.
• Experience supporting Asia Pacific clients.
• Strong computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and USPTO systems.
• Familiarity with IP docketing systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support U.S. patent prosecution: prepare and file patent applications, IDS, office actions, and issue fees.
• Prepare and file PCT filings; coordinate with foreign associates on international filings.
• Manage deadlines, docket reports, and time entries; assist with billing.
• Provide coverage for teammates and maintain electronic records.
• Participate in quality control for patent filings.
