Job summary

Apple seeks a Principal Counsel for IP Special Deals & Analytics in Cupertino, leading strategy at the interface of intellectual property, competition law, and regulatory matters. You will advise senior clients and shape positions on FRAND, platform regulation, and antitrust actions worldwide.

You will build cross-functional teams, assess complex issues, and influence policy while mentoring junior attorneys. The role offers substantial ownership and relocation support where needed.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and bar admission in at least one US state.
• 12+ years of legal experience with substantial focus on IP litigation and competition/antitrust law.
• Deep familiarity with global competition frameworks and multi-jurisdictional matters.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy development for IP-related competition and regulatory matters worldwide.
• Advise on intersection of IP rights and antitrust and competition law, including platform regulation and FRAND issues.
• Coordinate across product, engineering, policy, and business teams to align legal strategy with business goals.
• Monitor global developments and advise leadership on risks and opportunities.
• Mentor and guide attorneys on the team.
