Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience. Master’s preferred.
• Typically 12+ years of software and cloud engineering experience in senior architect roles.
• Deep experience with AWS or comparable cloud including compute, containers, networking, databases, storage, IAM, observability, security, IaC.
• Strong backend engineering and API design skills with hands-on in at least one modern backend language.
• Experience with event-driven and distributed systems, data ingestion, high-volume time-series data, and data modeling.
• CI/CD, automated testing, observability, incident response, secure software delivery at scale.
• Ability to connect architecture decisions to delivery, cost, product economics, and customer impact.
• Strong communication, technical judgment, systems thinking, and cross-team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain target architecture and technical roadmaps for connected products and cloud platforms.
• Lead architecture reviews for services, APIs, data pipelines, databases, and device-to-cloud communication.
• Simplify platform by removing coupling and consolidating services where needed.
• Guide platform modernization with managed cloud services based on product needs and cost considerations.
• Maintain architecture decisions and documentation for future knowledge and control.
