Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Manager, Mobile Development (iOS) to lead a skilled team delivering compelling iOS experiences. You will guide architecture, design, and end-to-end delivery, ensuring high-quality mobile features aligned to business goals.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners, manage budgets, and drive best practices in Agile environments. This role emphasizes leadership, innovation, and a strong focus on customer-facing mobile apps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or equivalent with 4+ years as a software engineer or 7+ with HS.
• Experience with programming languages for online apps, microservices or mobile apps or deployment automation.
• Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices.
• Experience working across multiple and disparate teams.
• Experience leading agile teams.
• At least 2 years contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
• At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross-functional team leadership.
• Willing to travel up to 10% of the time for business purposes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mobile developers delivering iOS features.
• Oversee the development, testing and implementation of mobile systems on time and within budget.
• Analyze and prepare designs, specifications, analysis and recommendations.
• Manage mobile apps, enhancements and cloud-based services affecting end users.
• Ensure features deployed have technical integrity and stability.
• Understand short and long-term goals and propose technical solutions and services.
• May develop and manage budgets for the functional area and align to business goals.
• Stay current with industry best practices and drive innovative partnerships.
