Job summary

Apple Inc. Cupertino, CA is seeking an experienced iOS engineer to build Generative AI-powered features within Apple's services ecosystem.

You will collaborate with a cross-functional team to design, prototype, and ship AI-enabled experiences across the Apple ecosystem. The role requires 6+ years of production iOS experience using Swift and UIKit/SwiftUI, strong CS fundamentals, and proven ability to work with RESTful APIs and cloud services.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of experience building production iOS applications using Swift and UIKit/SwiftUI.
• Strong understanding of CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Experience integrating client applications with RESTful APIs and cloud services.
• Demonstrated ability to decompose complex features into well-scoped, shippable increments.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving product requirements.

Description

As a member of the Services engineering team, you will collaborate with a talented group of engineers, designers, and product managers to build and ship Generative AI-powered features within Apple's services ecosystem. This role demands a creative, driven engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments and is excited about pushing the boundaries of what's possible on Apple platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• 6+ years of experience building production iOS applications using Swift and UIKit/SwiftUI
• Strong understanding of Computer Science fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, and system design
• Experience integrating client applications with RESTful APIs and cloud services
• Demonstrated ability to decompose complex features into well-scoped, shippable increments
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and adapting to evolving product requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building features that leverage large language models or other generative AI technologies
• Deep familiarity with SwiftUI, Combine, and modern Swift concurrency (async/await, structured concurrency)
• Track record of shipping consumer-facing features within a large-scale services organization
• Strong cross-functional communication skills with experience partnering across engineering, design, and product teams
• Passion for crafting accessible, performant, and privacy-respecting user experiences

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $184,700 and $324,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
