Job summary

Brivo is seeking a Mobile Software Engineer for iOS to join our Bethesda-based team. You will develop premium native apps, implement BLE/NFC secure communications, and drive architecture evolution with a focus on Swift, SwiftUI, and modern iOS patterns.

Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering across the US and Europe to deliver scalable access control solutions while adhering to Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines and ensuring high-quality, crash-free experiences.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional iOS development with a proven track record of shipping high-quality apps.
• Deep proficiency in Swift and UIKit, plus knowledge of iOS frameworks.
• Strong understanding of MVC/MVVM, interest in TCA and Clean Architecture.
• Proficiency with SwiftUI, Combine, and Swift Concurrency.
• Solid CS fundamentals and design patterns.
• Attention to Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and premium UX.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Git/Bitbucket and unit testing emphasis.

Responsibilities

• Write secure, high-performance Swift code for mission-critical access features, owning full development lifecycle.
• Implement Clean Architecture and evolve platform from MVC/MVVM to TCA.
• Demonstrate proficiency across iOS stack with SwiftUI, Combine, and concurrency for reactive UIs.
• Work with BLE/NFC to secure communication between app and hardware.
• Maintain high code quality with unit tests and code reviews, addressing vulnerabilities.
• Align features with Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines to deliver premium UX.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance; respond to production issues and escalations.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams in US/Europe to solve complex problems.
