Job summary

The Athletic Media Company is seeking an experienced iOS engineer to own core features and architecture of our native iOS app. You will craft polished user experiences, write testable code, and push for quality, performance, and scalable growth.

Ideal candidates blend strong Swift iOS skills with product instincts and a passion for sports media. You will work remotely from the United States or Canada, collaborating with Design, Product, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality mobile

Qualifications

• 4+ years of native iOS development with Swift.
• Strong consumer-facing product instincts and willingness to influence product decisions.
• Experience with GraphQL, SwiftUI, and Combine is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build UI with Design and Product to create beautiful, performant experiences.
• Architect and optimize the app for growth, scalability, and maintainable code.
• Write unit and functional tests to ensure high code quality and app reliability.
• Debug and fix production issues raised by users.
• Brainstorm product improvements with design and product teams.
• Refactor code to improve developer experience and maintainability.
• Collaborate in a cross-functional team and advocate for engineering best practices.
