The Athletic is seeking an experienced iOS engineer to own key aspects of our native app and help shape its core features and architecture. You will build polished user experiences, write maintainable Swift code, and collaborate with design and product teams to drive fast, high-quality iteration.
This remote role is open to candidates in the United States or Canada, with a base salary between $145,000 and $160,000 USD plus eligible bonuses and benefits.

Our ideal candidate will own key aspects of our native iOS application and contribute to our core features and architecture. We're looking for an experienced engineer who can build beautiful, polished user experiences and architect elegant, maintainable code. We prioritize fast iteration without compromising quality. Successful candidates keep up-to-date with best practices and have a familiarity with bleeding-edge features from Apple.

This role is remote for candidates currently located in the United States or Canada.
The annual base salary range for this role is $145,000.00 - $160,000.00 USD. The total compensation offered for this position may vary based on factors such as education, experience, skills, and location. It may also include non-cash rewards and benefits. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
For roles in the U.S., dependent on your role, you may be eligible for variable pay, such as an annual bonus and restricted stock. Benefits may include medical, dental and vision benefits, Flexible Spending Accounts (F.S.A.s), a company-matching 401(k) plan, paid vacation, paid sick days, paid parental leave, tuition reimbursement and professional development programs.
